By far and away the biggest project we’ve done, the party barn was a huge endeavor from the start. We got involved once everything was ready to move the barn off of its original dry stack foundation onto its new concrete home. From there we rebuilt the second floor, built an addition for the kitchen, added covered porches, doors and windows. Once the building was closed back in, the job of bringing the interior from barn status to livable status began. The goal was to create a space that retained its rustic barn character and has all the amenities needed for entertaining. The list of jobs we did is extensive but some of the highlights are, hand making flooring to match the existing, building the western themed bar, all the interior wall coverings, building doors and barn doors and rebuilding the cupola. It was an interesting and gratifying process to take this unused barn and turn it into a place for family and friends to gather, prolonging its story and weaving it into the fabric of the family for more generations to come.
