True Blue Coffee

Reclaimed lodgepole pine of old wraps True Blue Coffee & Gelato cafe’s walls with the warmth and history of Colorado timber. True Blue’s owners approach to preserve the beauty of Colorado within their café’s interior was intentional: using rustic, reclaimed wood and materials. The Johnson’s wanted to continue the local feeling of community and collaboration into a space where people could gather and share. The Johnson’s share their shop’s story often: What was previously a Starbucks had been gutted down to the plumbing. Nothing was left to reuse or repurpose. They had to start from scratch, and they wanted their building practices to make a sustainable difference--a place far removed from the corporate, antiseptic look. The Johnston’s wanted their customers to feel welcome, as locals.
